Caringly handcrafted in Utah.

Designed and produced in collaboration with LE CERAMICS in Salt Lake City, these limited release MILLCREEK MUGS are among our favorite products we've ever sold.

A true embodiment of QUALITY > QUANTITY, hyperlocal sourcing, and "good things consumed slowly" (things we like), this series was designed through a number of hand-drawn sketches before being thrown, glazed, engraved and fired end-to-end by a single artisan in our Millcreek neighborhood of Salt Lake City.

Perfectly proportioned to fit under your espresso machine or coffee maker with an oversized 17 oz. capacity (these things weigh more than a pound...) and clean, matte black glazing over exposed speckled red clay, each piece is guaranteed to become a new favorite part of your routine and last you for years to come.

As much a collectible work of art as anything, each mug is unique and hand-engraved with a series number corresponding to the sequence in which it was made (1/50 - 50/50).

MADE WITH INTENTION

EASYDAY X LE CERAMICS

Designed collaboratively with LE Ceramics through a series of sketches, our design priorities for this collection were to create clean + timeless pieces to be used and loved for years to come. A "dipped" effect on the high contrast matte black glazing draws attention to the exposed, naturally speckled brown clay, and each small detail down to the custom EASYDAY X LEC stamp on the bottom is carefully considered.

MADE WITH INTENTION

Handmade end-to-end by one artist

Starting with a wet piece of clay, each mug is hand thrown, shaped, and engraved one at a time. Once dry, they're taped out with our 3-bolt design and exposed clay borders, then hand painted with a double layer of matte black glaze which dries as grey prior to firing. (However time-intensive you're picturing this to be, it's more.)

Once formed and painted, the mugs are fired in batches of 10 to 20 for 8 to 12 hours at 2000+ degrees F to bond the glaze and create durability. The finished pieces are then polished and packed by hand.

MADE WITH INTENTION

Individually engraved & numbered 1-50

Given all of the above, we only made 50 of these. Five zero. So don't sleep.

Each First Edition mug is stamped with a hand-designed emblem on the bottom (3-Bolts x HANDMADE BY LE CERAMICS IN SALT LAKE CITY), below which we've engraved a number #1-50 authenticating the order in which your mug came off the pottery wheel. As much a collectible work of art as a piece of drinkwear.

About the Maker

LE Ceramics is the studio of Lisa Emery, based in the Millcreek neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah.

An SLC native, Lisa spent over a decade working in retail curation and visual environments for larger brands on the West Coast before returning to Utah to launch her studio. Her focus is crafting extremely high quality, long-lasting premium pottery and jewelry by hand, incorporating intentionally sourced materials and simple, beautiful designs.

Every LE Ceramics piece is made by Lisa personally, from beginning to end. We first discovered her through her 'Yin Yang' mug collection (go check it out) which inspired the heavy use of exposed natural ceramic in the Millcreek 1-50 design.

Highest quality mug I've ever seen

This thing is a brick. Super clean with the black glaze and the exposed ceramic. Hand engraving is dope. I collect mugs and probably have 20-30 in our cabinet at any given time from all over, and this might be my favorite.
